In November, 51 community leaders graduated from Leadership Greater Syracuse (LGS), the area’s premier community leadership training organization, at a ceremony that was held at Justin’s Grill, in East Syracuse, NY. The evening was the culmination of a year-long program designed to expose these individuals to the political, economic, social and cultural opportunities of Central New York. Throughout the year, participants explored group dynamics and diverse perspectives, learned about transforming their own communities for the better, and facilitated their trusteeship of Central New York as a whole. These highly mobilized, civic-minded community leaders will bring their new skills to work as nonprofit board directors, elected officials, policy-planning appointees, philanthropists, youth mentors and other agents of change. read more...
